I saw these beautiful, intensely saturated leaves in the woods near the Split Rock River. With my camera mounted on a tripod, I carefully removed some extraneous stuff ("gardening" in photographer lingo), snapped a lot of pictures, and came up with this--my favorite of all my images on that North Shore excursion.
