Photography is constantly teaching me how to open my eyes to “see” what’s around me every day. I think it has awakened some long slumbering and unrecognized artistic DNA within me. Heretofore overlooked patterns, shadows, lines and colors have now become fair game for my creative side.
I strive to compose simple images of places and people that pop, tell stories and evoke emotions. I love including people in my photos (though they may not be the primary subject) because they add human interest, depth and scale.
Recently I put together a book of my work called “A Photo Journey.” You can see it by clicking HERE. The book is for sale as are any of my photos. Just contact me if you have an interest. And thank you for visiting my website.
BREAKING NEWS: My image of some kids playing a pickup volleyball game in Havana, Cuba was accepted into the 2014 Minnesota State Fair Fine Arts Exhibit, and will be on display there from August 22 through Labor Day. Only 100 or so photographs out of over 800 submissions were chosen, so I'm quite pleased. Come see the exhibit.
